Images of the 2007 Harvest Pg 4
The Caravan rolling out of Arapahoe, Colorado
This is how we do it out here in the grain belt! In the following is a photo essay of just how much equipment we move from site to site during the harvest. There are six combines total, six draper heads on trailers, two hinge-frame tractors with grain carts, two maintenance trucks with grain trailers and four lodging trailers. This is a far cry from how we do it in Ohio. The Johnson's have been doing it for forty years and its an art and a skill to coordinate all this equipment, schedule farms, work around changing weather conditions and do it on time and efficiently.

This is the bosses trailer.
The harvest ended on July 25 in South Dakota, it was one of the best in many years. There was record heat. The crews
split again with one team heading to Wolf Point, Montana and the other going to Regent, North Dakota.
